As an Injured person, I should have been more careful when doing my job scope and the risk that I’m taking. As a result that I’m Injured, I won’t be able to work and everyone around me will be worried about my condition. I also won’t be able to find another job and I can only rely on my family member. Now I realized that being an injured person, I feel regret on my condition and a lot of things I won’t be able to be done. Safety is our first priority so that I can return back to work with safe and good condition
Muhd Nashif Reflection:
I realized that an accident can cause a bad situation toward us. When we cause an accident, our family would be worried when we are not returning back from work. I also learned that prevent from accident is by making our safety as our first priority. Ensuring safety must be good practice for everyone as it is prevented from us getting a serious accident while working. Ensure that proper PPE and attending for safety briefing is a good habit to before starting work as we should ensure what are the risk that we are taking part. In overall, we should always ensure that everywhere we go, there always be a hazard surrounding us and remember to always keep us safe from getting injured so that we will have a good life.
“Employers” By Farihin
As an employer, Rules and regulations are very important. As the boss, I would arrange payments to help out with the victim as he is in this company. He is under our care as he is working with us. I would also be worried as i can imagine being in his shoes. I would also be worried that my company will lose a lot of employees and the people who will want to work under us. I would also make my toolbox meetings more clearer on safety issues.

I have learnt that being an employer is difficult, You have to deal with almost everything that is happening in the workplace. I have also learnt that doing more toolbox meetings is very good. Briefing on safety is very important.
“Employees” by Ray
It is important to be working in a safe environment, because safety is number 1 priority. Workplace safety is very important regardless of how serious the injury or casualty is. A workplace is a place meant for everyone working there to be confident and be the best version of themselves. Employees should never have to face anxiety while working as it may affect their work performance negatively. Furthermore, if a casualty were to occur to an employee, the employee will not be able to work as he/she would be hospitalised and could or could not be able to work for a long period of time or in some cases, never again, and could struggle to pay his/her bills. Thus, workplace safety should always be number 1 priority.
Ray Reflection:
For today’s Workplace Safety and Health tutorial, I learnt that what happens to workers at their workplace would not only affect them but also indirectly affect people around them, such as family members, MOM/nation, employers, employees and students. The consequence of an injury or casualty would impact those around the worker differently. The WSH act came into effect in 2006 and is compulsory by 2011 for all companies and individuals to comply to it. For example, employers are responsible and would have to face heavy consequences, such as heavy fines and/or jail terms under the WSH act, if rules are not complied. The heavy fines and jail terms are to deter risk-taking behaviour. Singapore has a non-compulsory five-step programme called BizSAFE which assists companies and individuals to meet minimum safety standards, to enhance their WSH standards and also to gain recognition from the industry. Therefore, everyone has a part to play to ensure WSH is practiced so that workplaces are safe to work in.

Workplace safety and health is very important because if one of my family members were to get injured, I will be in despair and I might not be able to cope with my emotions. Additionally, if the injured is the breadwinner of the family, the hospital bills will be an issue and it will cause my family to be in financial trouble. The injured family member might also need physical assistance eg. Brushing of teeth, wearing of shoes etc.
Lionels Reflection:
I realized that accidents can be prevented if a proper risk assessment is being done by the company. However, the employee must also comply with the remedial order in order to prevent any accidents from occurring. Through today’s lesson, I have also learned that if the company fails to conduct a proper risk assessment or fails to control the risk, they will be receiving a ‘reasonable’ fine or even jail time, likewise for the employees of the company if they do not comply with the rules and regulations. In my opinion, having the WSH Act is a great way to reduce accidents from occurring as companies will pay more attention to the hazards present and take reasonably practicable measures to eliminate. Hence, decreasing the number of accidents from happening.

Safety is important for students. If the study environment is hazardous, students will be vulnerable to injuries. A study environment should be safe and conducive to conduct lectures. Example if a lightbulb is overheated in a lecture hall, it might explode at any point of time if it continues to generate. This place students in a very dangerous position if a fire were to take place, there would be a lot of casualties. Apart from this, if a student were to be injured, their academics would be greatly affected as they would be losing out in topics covered during lectures thus they might not be able to graduate with good result and end up having low income in the future.
Javons Reflection:
In today’s Workplace Safety And Health Tutorial, I learnt that the higher ups in a company is responsible in ensuring safety in a working environment, but at the same time each employee plays a role in it too. I feel that Singapore is a safe environment to work in as the government enforces all workplace to have proper safety etiquettes by having Bizsafe. This ensures all workers to rest assure in working peacefully in Singapore. However if the workers does not follow the proper etiquette, there will be consequence to face. Eg. Fines, Jail, Injuries etc. Therefore, for workplace safety, it is important that authorities not only do their part in implementing the etiquettes but also ensuring all employees acknowledge it and carry it out consistently.

As a family member, workplace safety and health is important because if my loved ones got injured during work, I would be devastated and very sad. If my loved one is the only breadwinner, what would happen to the family in the future? If he was injured, there’s a lot of things that can’t be done for example going overseas etc and the family members have to take care of him. Thus, it workplace safety and health is important.
Zheng Long Reflection
Based on my own knowledge, i realized that accidents are extremely dangerous. If one of us gets into an accident, our family members/our friends/relatives would be anxious. Everyday they have to worry for the hospital bills. Next time in order to prevent accidents try to be more alert next time to your surroundings for example while crossing the roads, try not to use your phones while crossing so that you will be more alert if cars are coming. We must ensure that everyone is safe so that our family members won’t be worried about us. Therefore, we need to be more careful with our safety and prevent more accidents of happening
